Color Values

Colors can be referenced in a variety of properties in two ways. The first is by using the string literal, which is the color's name. The second is by using an RGB hexadecimal triplet formed by combining the three color values. For example, a specific shade of blue is represented by the string literal aliceblue and the triplet F0F8FF. The actual color displayed by the browser is determined by the range of colors supported by the client machine-a VGA monitor with 16 colors is going to be much less dramatic than an SVGA with 16 million colors.
